La pipa collega il manubrio alla forcella. come si vede dallE foto sotto la parte cava della pipa trattiene il manubrio che viene fissato alla pipa con delle viti a brugola mentre la parte bassa si infila nella forcella della bicicletta e mediante il serraggio di una vite a brugola sita in cima alla pipa si espandono due elementi che premendo sulle pareti della forcella creano un blocco unico per cui alla fine azionando il manubrio si aziona anche la forcella.

The stem connects the handlebars to the fork. As you can see in the photo below, the hollow part of the stem holds the handlebars, which are secured to the stem with Allen screws. The lower part fits into the bicycle fork. By tightening an Allen screw at the top of the stem, two elements expand, which, by pressing on the walls of the fork, create a single block. Therefore, by operating the handlebars, the fork also operates.
